I downloaded KODI, but keep getting an error message when it try to start. It says ERROR: Unable to create GUI. Exiting. Please, I need help with this situation. Thank you very much in advance.

Vista? Really? Probably your hardware is too old or has outdated drivers.

I read somewhere that you have to have the latest updates on Vista (sp3? with DX11.2) and check that your graphic card is DX11.2 compatible and you have the latest drivers (the Unable to create GUI, message is somewhat indicative of gfx card issues). Otherwise back-up on iteration and try installing Kodi 15.2 which is the last iteration for DX9 and ensure your gfx card meets the Supported hardware (wiki)
