How do I make KODI 'add source' from an external hard drive?

It sees it and I can play content from it, but it wont let me add source from it? So, I have none of the media information. Any ideas

Box: Matricom Gbox Mx2
OpenElec: Version 6.0.3
Kodi: Version 15.2
