I am trying to do what should be simple as pie: send a keystroke (letter "O") to my android box.
I have the Harmony configured to work with my Android Box (Minix X8-H), play, stop, directional, all work.
I've enabled "Text Entry" and paired "Harmony Keyboard" via Bluetooth to the box.
I can use the Harmony App to bring up "Soft Keyboard" and send text to the box.
I cannot figure out how to send a single keystroke (letter "O") to the box using the remote buttons.
Even though I have "Text Entry" enabled, and "Harmony Keyboard" paired, when remapping remote buttons, there is no option to just send a keystroke, only the predefined commands of the android box.
Following some Reddit tips, I tried adding a "Microsoft MCE keyboard" device. This did allow me to remap remote buttons with a simple keystroke, however despite pairing keyboard, it did not send any keyboard commands to the box, even through the Harmony App's "Devices" tab.
I know there is a method with Keymap Editor addon for Kodi, but that's also limited. I just want the freedom to send a keyboard stroke.
Any ideas?
