I'm experiencing something with my Kaby Lake Beebox that I'm not sure is covered by the current batch of complaints or not. I have until tomorrow to return this thing as defective so I'd appreciate some insight.
When I play a PowerDVD 17 3D movie on my HDMI 1.4 port to either my LG OLED65E6P or my Vizio Vierra plasma (~2012 model) I feel as though my eyeballs are being ripped out of their sockets during movement. I have tried every setting on both TVs from swapping eyes, point of view, depth, intensity, color enhancement for 3D etc on both TVs with absolutely no positive improvement. I can only test for ~5 minutes because it's so bad I think I might vomit if I kept testing.
I can take the exact same movie and play it on PowerDVD 17 on my Ryzen 5 desktop (NVidia 1070 graphics cards - 2 SLI) and the movie is gorgeous. The same with my ~2012 AMD APU-based HTPC.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I haven't bought Intel in 15 years and I'm seriously regretting it now.
