Did you have a custom EDID setup on your box? Seems I had a similar issue when a build changed kernels. Possibly it was from 4.12 to 4.13. I had to edit extlinux.conf to remove the info similar to this "initrd=/edid.cpio drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/edid.bin video=HDMI-A-1" from the APPEND line to fix it.
