I just did some updates today and now Overlays like menu / playback seeker etc and subtitles flicker like mad

how ever I am unsure if this is related to Kodi 17.5 or my Ubuntu 17.04-17.10 update
as I had to reinstall kodi because their were missing links after the ubuntu upgrade  

also unsure if this a wayland issue or not
redoing for wayland as it would have been x11

how do i add my audio settings when building ? i need to disable pulseaudio and enable alsa
