Currently no WIP to solve that ... if someone wants to solve it: Don't send DTS-HD HR with 8 channels 192 khz but package it in lower frequency IEC packages, see: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/issues/167

This bug was fixed in the LAV filters as of version 0.71.25 and tested with Pioneer SC-LC501 / Onkyo TX-RZ820.
 (Intel NUC / Windows 10 / Media Player Classic V1.7.16)

same Testfile from

The Digital Theater -> SFX Short (Lossless) - 1080p H.264 (MKV) - DTS-HD HR 7.1 48 kHz -> Orchestra Short (Lossless) - 1080p H.264 (MKV) - DTS-HD HR 7.1 48 kHz
 Yes - kodi does neither use LAV filters, nor does a kodi developer currently work on this issue. That's what I said. Volunteers welcome :-)
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
