I'm trying it on VMware Workstation 14.

I had used the ova available for 8.1.2 which opens and runs perfectly. I then dropped in the latest nightly release from today... It reboots and updates fine, just no text anywhere.

i am trying to run your build on VMWare Workstation 14 Player.

Your solution does not work. I switched to virtrual hardware version 12 but i still get a black screen, only the mousecursor views.

Any other suggestions? :/  

 

Is that the problem? I can not install or upgrade the vm-tools

I am stucked. Any solutions?
