Without a debug log, nobody knows.
It's either a busy dialog issue (the add-on shouldn't be opening the busy dialog), or a language reuse issue (short term fix is to add
<reuselanguageinvoker>false</reuselanguageinvoker> (see PR13814)). Probably best to contact the add-on maintainer for a Kodi 18/Leia compatible fix.
