Chris Wilson has been incredibly helpful. He's proposed a 5th (and hopefully final) fix for the stuttering, and would like one last check in case of a regression before (presumably) proceeding upstream.

Could you test build #0708b: Generic

#0708b is the same as #0708 but includes this latest anti-stuttering fix, so please report if the stutter issue is now resolved, or if there are any continuing issues (or new issues not present in #0708).

 will give it a try shortly.  Any chance you can include the 'snd_soc_rt5663' module in next build?  need it for analog audio on KBL Chromeboxes
