@Milhouse thank you gain for your reply. I just installed Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS on tht NUC . "without" problems. Only problem: I hve to unplug and replug HDMI after initial boot.
fresh install:
~$ uname -a
Linux test-NUC7PJYH 4.15.0-29-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 17 15:39:52 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

And i upgraded with dist-upgrade to:
$ uname -a
Linux test-NUC7PJYH 4.15.0-30-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jul 26 17:42:43 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

edit:
tried kodi. 1080p running fine. uhd stuttering and hdmi audio out not working out of the box.
