I've followed a few tutorials and can't find the 'install from zip file' section anywhere.

Furthermore, the interface seems different than the tutorials show and haven't found any that are similar. I have just installed last night.

Telling us what version of Kodi you're running and what you're trying to install might be useful...

all the tutorials are for v16 and old skin. On krypton you have to scroll to add-ons (ignore everything on the right side) and click. You'll see different type of add-ons on the left. Ignore that and select that open box like icon on top left and install zip from there.
