I'm joining this thread, as I experience the same issues as lokipoki81.
I found pvr.vdr.vnsi addon deactivated and activation of TV-PVR function fails with the error:
ERROR: ADDON: Could not locate pvr.vdr.vnsi.so.2.6.11
I found out this file is located in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/kodi/addons/pvr.vdr.vnsi/pvr.vdr.vnsi.so.2.6.11, but Kodi is looking for it in /usr/lib/kodi/addons/pvr.vdr.vnsi/pvr.vdr.vnsi.so.2.6.11
I could resolve this partially due to copy the folder to the path: /usr/lib/kodi/addons/
But this leads into another error:
It seems like the file is now found but some resources are now not found by pvr.vdr.vnsi.so.2.6.17
I guess there's some issue with the package kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi provided by team-xbmc ubuntu trusty ressources.
I upgraded to Kodi17 - but there where even more trouble (flickering screen and so on) there I did not reach the point where I can check this function.
After this I went back to and old HDD image Kodi 15.2 where the issue also appeared after a system update by sudo apt-get upgrade.
Can someone tell, what ressources are required or how to fix this.
I also did apt-get --build-dep kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi and apt-get install --reinstall kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi
