Hi guys,
I am brand spanking new to Kodi, I have tried to download version kodi 17.0-krypton_rc4.exe for windows three times now, everything seems to go ok, but when I try and open the program I get this message :

can't start Kodi because api-ms-win-crt-locale-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix.
Tried re-installing three times now No joy can anybody help me with this ?

Did you try an install the missing .dll?

From what I've seen, looking at some msdn docs, I think MS changed in VS 2015 how the vc runtime is structured, and that error is related to an install problem with the vcredist and/or updates for it. Unfortunately I don't know a fix for it.

What version of windows do you use, 7 - 8 - 10.
And is it fully updated.
