VideoPlayer.StartTime rapidly changing like an endless countdown

The Info label VideoPlayer.StartTime is constantly changing like an endless countdown. As the label VideoPlayer.TimeRemaining is correct, it can be excluded that a wrong stream length is the reason for that. What causes this bug?

I'm using TVHeadend backend version 4.1.2415, TVH client version 999.4.0.6 and Kodi 18.0-ALPHA1.

This issue has been around for a very long time. Not sure if it ever worked correctly. I do observe the same with VDR as backend.
