I keep getting this error when exporting my database. It results in the exported database file being a blank 0kb file. I can't isolate the file that is causing it, I have moved my media a couple shows at a time and tried to isolate it, but there is no pattern. Tried fresh install of Kodi.
Any idea how I can track down the exact cause?
This is the only thing that shows up in the log:
02:39:06.779 T:3972 ERROR: CVideoDatabase::ExportToXML failed

I've managed to isolate the TV show causing database exporting problems.
One piece. A 791 episode anime, with super long episode descriptions. I believe it is breaking the XML building because it is so large.
Any ideas on how to fix? Should I submit a bug report?

You should upload a flipping debug log showing you trying the export. As has been said multiple times in your last thread.
If the problem is banned addons make a new portable build, copy the library across to it and make the debug log from that.

As I stated there's nothing interesting in the debug log but this:
02:39:06.779 T:3972 ERROR: CVideoDatabase::ExportToXML failed
There's no other errors during the export, it just fails to compile the XML at the end whenever the show "One Piece" is in the database. Probably due to the fact its a massive show with about 2 paragraphs-per-episode descriptions. I don't know of a larger TV Show that exists, so I assume it's a Kodi bug. I have no banned addons, the only thing I have installed is Aeon Nox. Everything else is stock and default while I troubleshoot this.
Removing the show from the database, exporting, then re-adding it is my best workaround right now. No errors while importing and it scrapes correctly.

I tried to export you database into a single file, but kodi then got blocked completely and I had to force close it.
A few questions
- Are exporting to multiple files or a single file?
- Is Kodi usable after exporting?
- Have you tried to export a library which only contains the suspect TV show (One piece)?

Yup that will happen sometimes too, it either crashes completely when you get to the end or you get the error message.
Happens with both, though single file is easier to test because it gives you a 0kb XML file at the end which is a clear sign something went wrong. Removing one piece results in a ~147MB XML file.
Yes, if it doesn't crash
No

Does it install to a different directly? I definitely installed it.
