You appear to be running kodi as root. Why?
Also what do you mean "updating from the cache"

Been having trouble with updates failing, whether automatically or manually.
Running kodi in puppy linux. Which explains why, it it is running as root.
When I do a manual update of creation.org addon from the kodi repository, it updates okay.
But, when I do a manual update of creation.org addon from the package cache, it fails.
After that, manually updating of the addon fails every time, whether it is from the package cache or kodi repository.

I am using creation.org as as a test to see how well kodi is doing in puppy linux.
It fails this test in tahrpup64, tahrpup x86, xenialpup64.
The only one it has not failed in is xenialpup x86.
I am trying to figure out why these other puppy's are failing, and how to fix them.
