Hi, Using WIndows 10 64 bit. Installed kodi via Microsoft Store and also tried via the kodi.tv site. When i open Kodi i get a crazy screen, just a blur of lines and colours. nothing identifiable and have to use alt+F4 to close. Any idea what i can do to fix please?

Yes, that is not right. Most likely a graphics card problem.

While you do that, tell us what your hardware is.

Thanks. I am using an ATI HD6900 graphics card and i7 processor. 8MB RAM. I did previously have kodi working for a couple of years, but then reset pc to factory settings and kodi hasn't worked since.

Ok. That is around 7 years old that graphics card.

Firstly, head over to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers and install them. If there is a more recent beta driver for your card, then try it.

If that does not work, you will need to drop back to v16.1... http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/win32/old/

Send the debug log through anyway and let us know how you go with updating the drivers.

drivers bang up to date. I am just perplexed as did have kodi 17.1 previously running fine on the machine.

Getting a newer graphics card is another option. For HTPC use and videos viewing only, there is a AMD RX550 or a Nvidia GT1030.

Yes, you will need to upgrade soon.

Anyway... Could you remove the Windows Store version of Kodi, then re-install using the download from the link at the top left of this page. Use the Release: Installer (32Bit)

Last option is to try v16.1

If it works, it confirms it is the older graphics which are the problem

Strange that it was working previously. So I am guessing between then and now, you may have had an update (Creators) installed? It seems to have caused a few people some issues.

I have uninstalled all drivers for the graphics card and kodi working again. This is about the same family as my graphic set-up, I found the newer drivers have issues, perhaps your luck will be better.
