when i go in file manager to add source and click on none nothing happens tries to open but stays on none. I can't add a source. i have not had this problem in the past. unknown sources in security is on. it won't let me type anything for source.
Thoughts?

I guess you are using tvos 11 beta which changed the way the native on screen keyboard has to be shown. I fixed that in the above build.

Is it possible to add SD Card as source for videos?

Is there a resolution to this problem. I am in the same boat with an Apple TV 4. Tried restoring the whole thing and still got nothing.
