Already there. For the custom widgets scroll down at the bottom and select "custom item". For the main menu you have to set a item at first. Afterwards the config icon has the option to manipulate the path. More is not possible, because this dialogs are provided by a third party script.

Sorry, overlooked "custom item" for widgets. The same is not possible for menus? Isn't it the skinshortcuts script?

It's already there, but the script only offers me two options:

-> Set a item and automatically set other values like the label based on the path. No custom option is provided
-> Set a item without automatically set other values based on the path but with custom option provided

So I've decided to add a 2 way approach. First add a dummy item to a custom node. Then open the dialog with the gear symbol again and you will find a "custom item" at the bottom.

Now I remember why I forced the slide view for boxset items: Kodi doesn't store the view type for such nodes and for the view hast to be set for each single boxset.

A very small and trivial thing, but I thought I'd mention it anyway:

If you browse into the seasons view and highlight the "Browse season" (or the "Watch now" in episodes view), then hit backspace to go to the previous menu, no item is in focus or highlighted, and you have to navigate in a direction to see where you are.
