Download file corrupted

Seriously? I download things almost daily of some sort and hardly ever get that message. I've been using a Mac since the SE series, and have no idea how to do that. Any tips? I'm willing to try it.

Try to disable gatekeeper instead - the error message from osx might be misleading.

I'm running mac OS Sierra version 10.12.6. When I go to open the download my iMac tells me the file is corrupted. I'm sending you this to let you know. The file was dated August of this year. Would you replace the file or tell me of another reliable source for the current version of Kodi? I'll try again in a few days.
