Error on install Ubuntu 16.10

I'm getting an error on install:

This is on Ubuntu 16.10 with the XFCE desktop (mythbuntu desktop)

Any ideas on what to try?

16.10 is out of support

 Fair enough. I should have picked one of the LTS versions... looks like it might be time to go to 18.04.

Thanks for supporting Kodi, I'm just starting to get into it more.

Opps.... looks like I'll have to update in a couple of phases 18.04 doesn't come out officially until April.   I should have stuck with 16.04 until 18.04 was out.

If you don't want to wait, you could use 17.10 probably

yes, go to 17.10 for now, then 18.04 when it's out

FYI: Upgrading to just 17.04 fixed the problem.

Also, I'll be upgrading to 17.10 as 17.04 goes out of support this month.
