Pushing enter pauses but I don’t see the options for turning subtitles or changing a/v settings..

Hold on the touch pad down till the menu pops up. Scroll over to the speaker icon and select subtitles on. Press menu to go back to the movie.

Kavy you did really helpful thank you so much I just got new apple 4k tv box and I'm loving it so thank you for good tip for subtitles !!!

Alternativly you can use the following custom keymap:

With that keymap you can swipe up to change the audio and swipe down to change the subtitle.
