I have tried a thusand times but nothing is working. The Advance settings file seams to load but the settings them self does not apply to Kodi.
Empty folders still show and when I press backwards it skips back 15 seconds and NOT the 5 I have entered. I even tried easy advance settings adon but it did not work.
The file is in apdata/roaming/kodi/userdata. I am running windows 10 ultimate.

And.. is there an empty line starting the advancedsettings.xml file?

<timeseekbackward> / <timeseekforward> have been removed since Isengard, see http://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.xml:

 

• <timeseekforward>/<timeseekbackward> - In v15 these tags are replaced by GUI options via additive seeking, which is configured in the GUI. See skip steps for details.
  

 

The best way to achieve what you are trying to do is to use http://kodi.wiki/view/Skip_steps

What version of Kodi are you running? as those settings have been removed (see http://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.xml#Removed_tags ) since they are no longer required with the skip steps configurable within the GUI.

This is what happens when people use out-dated third-party addons rather than reading and learning how to do things properly.

I tried without the adon first, it did not work, Then I tried with it.

The skipsteps in the GUI does not allow for less than 10 seconds scips, I want 5 seconds
And the empty folders are still showing

edit: The gui now showed -5/+5 seconds. I guess I had to ad in the advance settings first and then select them in the GUI.

Still when I browse "files" The empty folders still show, does this only apply to "tv shows" etc. and not if i browse the folders via "files" ?

The GUI setting "Show empty TV shows" which you make sure is unselected if you don't want to see TV shows with no episodes only applies to the Library view, this has replaced hideemptyseries

Where did you get those tags from? They haven't been in the wiki for at least 12 months.
