I'm interested on make a proposal for the GSOC of this year but can manage to understand well the problem of the subject (creation of a extension for VsCode to validate/syntax highlight kodi addons)

I've been watching the GSOC threads and I have a question tangentially related to this project. Can VS Code currently debug Kodi addons with its Python debugger? If not, it may be nice to include a debug adapter as well as a language server.
