first get us the output of:

apt-cache policy Kodi

Then we might see what repos you are using.

remove our unstable ppa and add our stable ppa instead

So I just wasted a few days on this.

If there's any way to install Ubuntu you'll be a lot happier.

Hit so many issues with Mint.  Yes, you can sort of solve them all.  But... total pain in the ass.

Since installing Ubuntu I've had 0 issues, everything just worked as it should.

I don't know why, I just know Mint really sucked.
