When using VAAPI with tvheadend client (4.0.8. trusty, htsp v20) I get image corruption and heavy stuttering a few minutes into the TV stream. The log file in Kodi gives out warnings for timeouts and waiting for cache. This does not appear when using software rendering in live tv or timeshift. Recordings are never an issue, they do work perfectly with or without Vaapi enabled.
So my question would be if there is a way to set tvh pvr client so that it does not use vaapi for livetv or timeshift, but VAAPI can remain an active setting in the Kodi system for the rest of my media like movies, youtube, etc.
