Hello

I figured out how to change the custom widgets.
But I can not find the DVD Release/ Upcoming DVD widgets

it is like it is not installed somehow. I am not sure where this service is coming from.

I know it should be in the moviedb folder when I go through the widget navigation, but it seems maybe there was an error somewhere

Hi snickerpop and welcome to the forums.

Add the DVD release / Upcoming DVD widget by following step 7 in this guide:

You need the script ExtendedInfo for this feature.
If it's not installed, go to:
Skin Settings > Supported Add-ons > Automatic installation from Kodi add-on repository
Click ExtendedInfo

I think there is something missing on my install or an error. So below I have shown the widget I can see from the custom menu.

This is from the Moviedb within the extendedscripts folder where I think DVD options should be






Lastly this is the what I can see from the home page. 
1. This is with the incoming/in theaters movies preset. Everything works



2. If I try to switch to DVD/ DVD Releases something breaks

Thanks for the very detailed description.

It seems you are doing everything correctly.

Make sure script.extendedinfo is installed (it probably is).
From the widget presets menu (where you see the widgets Movies, TV Shows, Add-ons, Games, New DVDs / Upcoming DVDs etc.), choose New DVDs / Upcoming DVDs.
Try restarting Kodi.

If you don't see the widget, the service from Rotten Tomatoes is probably down.


I'll try adding that widget myself later today.

I can't get that widget working either.

So maybe those API calls from Rotten Tomatoes are not working.

For anyone else with this issue. I don't think it going to work

This is from the github. The version in 17.* and 18.* is 5.6 I believe. It seems like the feature was removed for all the rotten tomatoes calls. So that is why it was not working for me. Hopefully a replacement will come eventually. All the DVD release features use rotten tomatoes according to this.

I'll remove that widget and replace it with something else either from script.extendedinfo or script.skin.helper.service.

I'm going to replace those widgets with "Top rated movies" and "Top rated tv shows".
