2018 - Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
Does this device support 4h UHD HDR content playback in Kodi and also audio passthrough (including Dolby Atmos and DTS-X)? I've seen that using a ethernet adapter is desirable, but is there someone using it with an AC router that is close to it?

See first post. Audio passthrough is DD/DD+/DTS only. If it's close to an uncongested WiFi access point, you don't need ethernet.

Thank you! Is there any device that is able to reproduce 4K HDR/HDR10+/Dolby Vision and still do Atmos/DTS-X passthrough using Kodi?

Good news: Well it would seem that the dreaded h264 interlaced bug may well have been fixed, according to this thread:
https://github.com/amzn/exoplayer-amazon-port/issues/81

Bad news: Fix won't be available until mid Q2, not sure exactly when that is, hopefully not long.
Will mean i'll finally be able to use my Firestick 4K for Live TV at long last, which is good.

Dear @wrxtasy,

can you tell me your sources, where I can buy that UGreen USB3-Adapter in a cheaper way?

Kind Regards,

One bug still remains somehow, although they seemed to work on it (unsuccessfully): if the Stick is connected to an AVR the Auto refresh rate setting is not working after a reboot of the Stick. Though something changed since 6.2.6.0: the Auto refresh rate setting keeps being activated (cosmetically) in the settings, but without functioning. You need to change the Resolution manually in settings and change back to "Auto" for enabling auto refresh rate feature into a functioning state again.

Is there any bugtracker or forum where Amazon Devs will read and where to report this annoying issue? Makes the whole stick worthless for me Sad Amazon knows for sure why they closed their forums... Sad
