Windows 7 SP1
Kodi V17.6
LG Smart TV
My set up is currently simple, to allow me to view videos on my smart TV, when the videos are stored on my Windows desktop hard disk. I can then control the playback via the TV. The setup uses two network cables and is connected:
TV - Router - Desktop
With the previous version of Kodi, I could see, on the TV inputs, the desktop PC, and Kodi. This version only shows Desktop PC - there is no logo for Kodi.
Clicking on the Desktop PC icon on the TV, I can play some formats of video but not all, and all the videos are mixed in together.
With the previous version of Kodi, all videos could be played, and were nicely organised.
I can still play videos on the desktop PC.
Do I have to do anything with Kodi to make it "visible" to the TV? Is there something that I set up on the previous version that I have forgotten about.
