Kodi v17 server not being seen by Kodi v18 client via UPnP
#1
My Kodi v17.6 server is on Win 7.  It works great.  My client an Android Samsung Tab Pro (Android v5.1.1) auto-updated to v18 yesterday.  Now it won't see my Kodi server anymore.  The v18 turned off UPnP which I turned back on.  It won't connect.  Do these have to be the same version?  I really don't want v18 on my server yet, I would like to wait a few months until more of the issues are worked out.

I've been having problem with kodi Upnp since v18 too. I tried to add my computer again but can't find it via the Upnp searching menu.

In Settings/Services/Control I unticked "Allow remote control from applications on this system" on android system. It's not a perfect solution but it work for me. I use kodi on android tv and my PC.

That did not work for me.  Still cannot connect to a Kodi v17 server via UPnP using Kodi v18 on Android.
