They have asked can I try running the DRM Tip to see if it's resolved. Is it possible to get a build using that?

Try #0829b: Generic

This is based on https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip/com...1bcf58acd1 with the same options as 5.3-rc6 plus the addition of http://ix.io/1TNq (complete config: here). No Nvidia support in this build (as the nvidia drivers don't build against drm-tip).

Might also be worth testing the 5.3-rc6 build.   

Happy to report this works well on a gemini lake N5000, will also check on J5005. Assuming the audio sync is fixed too in RC7 that could be all issues fixed. That would be nice. Thanks for the extra builds

EDIT: Also works on J5005, note that it only worked on #0829b and not on 5.3-rc6. I guess as drm-tip is built on top of the RC. Will report back when I know which RC this will go into.

Handy extra bonus, the UI can now be run in 4k without affecting video playback!
