dl link didn't work for me please try and use https://paste.kodi.tv/ for all posts including strms, nfos.

Here is the log hucenaxike.kodi (paste)
and the nfo file: zuzicahisu (paste)

Your .nfo is correct, although a runtime of '1' is 60secs which will yield a small EPG cell entry. you'll probably see [...] as guide info.

As for the log, your strms are being added and a 'runtime' detected (most likely your strms are scrapped to Kodis library?) however, the nfo isn't being parsed because you have accurate duration turned off.

xml:

2021-04-06 13:43:43.279 T:3524 DEBUG <general>: plugin.video.pseudotv.live-0.2.7d-Builder: buildFileList, accurateDuration = False
2021-04-06 13:43:43.279 T:3524 DEBUG <general>: plugin.video.pseudotv.live-0.2.7d-JSONRPC: getDuration, accurate = False, path = C:\ESD\Kodi2\portable_data\userdata\library\series\UCcKfSNBlSTsfT-WgPmCVyXQ\2015\s2015e1.strm
2021-04-06 13:43:43.279 T:3524 DEBUG <general>: plugin.video.pseudotv.live-0.2.7d-JSONRPC: getDuration, path = C:\ESD\Kodi2\portable_data\userdata\library\series\UCcKfSNBlSTsfT-WgPmCVyXQ\2015\s2015e1.strm, runtime = 60

If runtime is found, and you have "Prefer Kodi database" selected PseudoTV Live will not parse the files for any further meta... If you want the nfo's values to be parsed change to "Prefer File Meta".

My timing is impeccable. I was excited to see the change log for this release and hit the back button just as it displayed. Is there anywhere within Kodi to display the changes again? Of not, do you post the updates anywhere else?

Open PTVL settings, navigate to Misc. click "Show Changelog".

Ha! One of the changes was to include the change log. Thanks for the updates and fantastic app. The timing between episodes is noticably improved!

Edit:. I didn't give this improvement enough attention in my reply. I just surfed through a handful of channels and it loads up just as fast, sometimes faster than Nextpvr channels pulling from ota. I no longer hesitate to jump around the listings.

I have noticed that when I watch a particular channel for a short period of time I have to click a button on the remote 2 times before Kodi reacts. This only seems to happen on PTVL channels. Note that this has been an ongoing thing, not newly introduced with this update. Is this expected, a setting I can change, or do I need to get you some logs 😁

This has to do with passive controls when Pseudos overlay is enabled and active, one press exits the overlay the other controls Kodi.

At some point I'll address this issue with a "forwarding" action method; sounds easy enough but it's a lot of work with little gain... so it's a low priority.

The speed is great with this new release. I noticed that m3u imports seems to be broken. There does not seem to be any popup when choosing file or url. Is this known or do you need me to capture a log? (Not really important to me at all, but I was futzing around in the settings testing things out)

I'll look into it, I moved the settings format over to the new matrix syntax. It's possible something might have broke in the move... log isn't needed. THX for letting me know Smile

I'm have some additional issues. It looks like PTVL won't build some of my channels and seems to eat them after a reboot sometimes. Here is a log, my channels.json and my settings.xml

Is there currently (or is there planned) a way to remove pre-defined channels? I get ones showing up which are not terribly useful, because they literally only have one show. The movie ones are great, but for the TV-studio-specific ones, I would love to just be able to hide them and only show ones I curate with smart playlists based on actual network airing.

No, Pre-Defined channels are designed to be a simple, easy and quick way to create Pseudo Channels based on your Kodi content... It's 100% generated from the content on your system. All Genres, Networks, and Studio lists are in the top 25 based on their content type. If your selection is "not terribly useful" then your collection is.... *cough  Tongue.

A "Pre-Defined" smartplaylist list; won't be added because there is nothing "Pre-Defined" about a smartplaylist; It's categorized as a "User-Defined" channel. The supplied channel manager is the correct way to add "User-Defined" content.

Yeah, I get how the user-defined stuff works. And it works well for me. I really prefer the more nuanced control, especially because I can avoid weird edge cases. For example, I have a pretty massive collection of retro Nickelodeon content. One of my primary motivations for using PseudoTV Live is to have essentially a "90s Nickelodeon" channel. When I first installed PTVL, it gave me a predefined Nickelodeon channel successfully, which was awesome. But then I also got a weird channel that was literally nothing but Hey Arnold, while Hey Arnold never appeared on the Nickelodeon channel. And then certain classic Nick shows that also aired on a canadian network prior to being (more famously) rebroadcast on Nickelodeon appeared on a PTVL channel for that network instead of the Nick one. So for me, using a smart playlist driven user-defined channel is worth the little bit of extra work.

Incidentally, after asking the question here, I was kind of aimlesssly poking around Kodi and discovered that you can hide ("disable") channels in IPTV Simple. So I can basically get my desired effect! It just has to do with curating the channel list, as opposed to doing anything in PTVL – I guess the only advantage then of doing anything at the add-on level would just be to eliminate the resource usage of maintaining channels that I never want to use. But hopefully that's not much of a theoretical performance difference, even if it were possible.
