Wonder if P5 causing issues for you since it has different refresh rate than what TV supports. My E6 supports neither, only 23.976/24/30Hz so I am forced to play all of them 59/60Hz content at lower refresh rate.
Settings->Player->Videos Adjust display refresh rate - on start/stop, Sync playback to display disabled.

Looks pretty normal/expected.
P5_Dolby_Amaze had the most problems - it would often hang at the 12 second mark - then shortly after, crash Kodi.

Let me know if you have any questions.
In my current setup all these samples play well in DV with frequent start/pause/stops . BTW, I am using the build from 12/22.
P4 / P7 (23.976Hz)
P5 (60Hz)
P81 (59.94Hz)
dolby-vision-nasa-(dolby-vision)-(www.demolandia.net) (59.94Hz)
dolby-vision-art-of-essence-(www.demolandia.net) (59.94Hz)
Can you try with these settings and see if the P5 sample plays better? I used these for 59/60Hz samples to keep them smooth in DV. For movie content, which is what I watch most of the time on Kodi/Plex, I set the Display at 23.976Hz in System > Display.
