the settings file is still not found. Can you post the contents of the file at Kodi Paste Site (same as you do for the log) and I'll check for an error in the file, which may be why Kodi is ignoring it.
If you open your above log, check line 25 & 26. That is around about where the file should be displayed
(2019-12-29, 05:17)Karellen Wrote: No problems with the content so it is a file or location problem.solved the problem already, see what aparently happened was when I had the file in the wrong folder I renamed it advacesettings.xml, .xml being part of the actual name of the file so I deleted the .xml part of the name and got the movies in and out the folder and that solved the problem, now the extras are not showing as movies.
What is the name of the file? A screenshot of your folder from Windows Explorer so I can see the file, other files in the folder and the path of the folder will be useful.
Check that the file is encoded as UTF-8. See image...
