Hi I have a subscription to the Easynews newsgroup service. I found the easynews add on and have been using it without issue with previous versions of Kodi. However since updating to Kodi 18 Leia it's causing a really annoying problem.

Basically when I do a search I get a list of videos as per normal. However when I click on a video to watch, then stop watching the video, it asks me to re-enter the search criteria again and original list disappears! Which is really frustrating when checking through a search to find the right video.

This didn't happen in previous versions. Can anyone help please?

I'm quite sure that the EasyNews add-on is not an official Kodi add-on.
Wherever I google for it, all I see are links and/or references to banned repositories, which will prevent you from getting any support on this forum.

Perhaps you can find the author(s) of this plugin, and ask for direct support.

This issue is present in lot of addons (e.g., Dailymotion and IMdB Trailers), from Kodi v18.5 onwards, due to this PR

I havent been able to work around it yet, Works fine on Kodi 18.4 or below

So yes, you are right that this is Kodi's intended behaviour from Kodi 18.5+ and the addon authors have to work around it
