TMM was working fine. Now it's not; I can't start it. Some things I remember doing before TMM stopped working:

- changed my system-wide icon set
- installed, then uninstalled some image editing software (using Synaptic).

Here's a copy of the TMM log file:

I don't mind reinstalling the whole thing if there's no choice, but is there some way I can save my settings/configuration?

Thank you.

looks like you deinstalled the UI Java packages from your system (leaving left the java-headless ones) - please check if you still have all needed Java packages installed

I have openjdk-8-jdk (headless and non headless installed). I tried reinstalling them (and restarting machine) but problem persists.

I'm attaching images of my installed packages (java related). Packages "default-jre" point to "openjdk-11-jdk", as indicated by comments; but I believe this hasn't changed (but can't be sure).

Any more ideas?

I am having the same problem.

I've just searched a bit and it looks like Ubuntu splits the Java packages into several different Packages.

could you try to install:  sudo apt-get install openjdk-11-jre

This worked.

Thanks.

Worked for me too. I thought the instructions online said to install openjdk-8-jdk... oh well. Thanks for the help!
