Do NOT hide watched

If you end up there when using the Movie or TV Shows buttons on the Main menu then you haven't scanned your sources yet to generate the Movie and TV libraries, see https://kodi.wiki/view/Adding_video_sources

Why would I want to do that just to not hide watched shows? What if I don't have anything I want to put in my libraries?

And, apparently, how would I add a source when I do not get on the screen what is shown in the wiki?

If you've not created a library then Kodi will not hide anything.

Please post a screenshot of a view where you expect to see TV shows and you are not? your previous screenshot just showed the video folder source, so I assume your folder containing TV shows is within this videos folder, so if you are just browsing the file/folder structure to play files, then go into the relevant folder for a specific TV show and give us a screenshot of that.

My TV shows all come from add-ons. Every single add on is now hiding watched episodes.

In other words there will never be content in the "TV shows" or "Movies" sections.

Would have been helpful you had stated that from the beginning. If you need any further support then we will need a debug log_file (wiki)
