When selecting a widget the coloured legend suggests Playlists will be designated with a blue square, however I don't see anyway such a widget can created or selected. Playlists are not present in the widget list as default and the Add Widget option within Skin Settings is removed, that option is present in other Aeon skins. I would preferably like to use a Smart V-Playlist as a widget and assign that on the Favourites Menu item.

Does anyone have advice that will point me in the right direction?

I also get the same problem, the wired way to add smart list into Widgets list is to add new main menu replace with the smart playlist, and hide it in customise function, then you will see the smart playlist is in Widgets list....but...I think it's not right way...because you Wii have enough new main menu to set...
