What happen to the jester builds? Haven't seen an update in a while.

I guess he is busy with real life. What's wrong with all our other builds?
Reply
Absolutley nothing, I for one am very grateful and am continually trying them out, thanks.

However, I have also noticed a lack of involvement from Jester, and hope all is well.

But thanks again to all who make builds available.

He was the guy doing external player and the multi-proc stuff.

External player is in SVN, you have it in all builds. Multi-proc stuff... I'm not sure about its state, to be honest. I see videodecoding already using two cores on my Dual Core, but never tried those builds to see what the improvements were, if any.

This is getting off topic. Also, he wouldn't be making multi-proc even if he were here. Devs have requested all SVN releases to be main trunk only releases during the alpha and beta stages of 9.04.

Hey ikons, great work on keeping the builds up-to-date.

I do, however, have one request. I believe your installers don't contain the drivers "MSVCP71.dll" and another one necessary for proper functionality. I know this can be remedied by just installing over an older build, but this could be a bit daunting for those lower-knowledge users.

Any chance you could start including these DLL's in your builds so I can just point people to this thread and not need any further explanation??

@ikons
The installer.bat and readme.txt for the win32 builds has been updated showing how to do this. I didn't do it either before as I wasn't sure how jester was including them.

All my builds from now on will have those missing msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll files.

EDIT
Soon, SVN updates will be very easy to do! That's all I can say for now.

ikon,kricker: I would also prefer you ship both dlls. Just put them in the folder XBMC\project\Win32BuildSetup\dependencies and they'll be included.

...that should be the case for my builds now, including the one I just posted.
