No need for that thread. Just showing it can run on multiple system's. If it has lag 80 percent of the time it's how it's set up from the individual.

I disagree, showing a picture of an inanimate object is not answering the question - how many individual tweaks have you made to your Kodi set-up for it to work?

A new user needs to know, does the Titan BINGIE MOD v1 have a minimum system requirement which is highlighted in the majority of skins in the Skin Support forum then they will follow the instructions on page one of this thread!
I have made no tweaks to my Kodi setup. I read the wiki about Kodi and I learned how to setup everything correctly. I read all the new wiki info for Kodi Matrix and how to setup media with local files including how Kodi handles movie sets now. My setup of the skin is what everyone else is using from GitHub.

The type of system it can run on without lag that I have used and tested was a old Intel dual core laptop...

The picture of the inanimate objects you say was irrelevant also had a laptop that shows it doesn't have to have a really maxed out PC. If you would like to take the time to try and run the skin on every device to let us all know what system it runs on that would be great.

An old dual core? OK I gotta chime in here. This makes no sense. The Shield TV is far more powerful than that and I barely have 21 widgets.....I think either you and I have different definitions of lag or you're not mentioning what you did specifically in Matrix sir. I didnt do anything fancy and all I have is local stuff. None of that online crap if you know what I mean...and mine does have noticeable lag to a degree. Not bad or terrible but its there in terms of the initial launch of the skin showing black for a solid 8 to 10 seconds.. or sometimes just kinda being a bit lagggy and having a .3 to .5 second delay as i scroll. Not as smooth as Netflix...hopefully that is normal? Also hitting Play Trailer on Matrix mod takes a good 4-5 Mississippis to play content...UNLESS the skin has issues with samba shares? All of which are wired for local network up to 1Gbit ethernet speed....

So the Intel dual core laptop was lag free. I always use a custom Windows 10 gaming edition. That alone will speed up your system substantial because there is nothing slowing windows down. I use only 3.0, or 3.2 HDDs with all media and .nfo files created with tiny media manager. I never let my HDDs get maxed out so they never get sluggish. When I play trailers they are local files inside the movie folder so I don't need to pull from the internet. I don't use SMB either so I can not comment on how that works. I can't say I have ever seen the screen turn black when launching so I really don't know what to tell you there. I will always scroll through all my media on a new build to let all the artwork cache as well.

Thank you. Only thing different from mine is - I don't have .nfo files created - but I don't believe that the library constantly caches for new nfo from scrapers past the initial adding scan of the library...

The distinguishing factors here on mine is just mine are all on SAMBA - but the database however is still very much local to the Shield TV....so even if the shares had issues - Kodi would* be theoretically independent of that. Basically - I do have lag as described. The HDDs are not maxed out - they are pretty much 7200RPM SAS-Media drives that fare better than standard NAS but again - I imagine lag related to drives to be a circumstance of actually attempting to play...unless the Shield TV one's memory speed is far far less than a standard drive (this is my best guess).

If I were a betting man, I'd say perhaps it's this OR it's possible bingie mod on Matrix specifically on a Shield 1 Pro has issues then as I'm not sure why locally scanned 21 widgets would be problematic - but admittedly I didn't cycle through all my media, or widgets....

Definitely puzzling but yes - I do get that lag upon starting where I see it say "Spotlight...." with a little wheel up top and it takes a solid 4-5 seconds. sometimes longer.

And yes - the build is a brand new Kodi install (previous build fully uninstalled and nuke-checked via Local Network).

P.S. thanks for your hard work on this awesome skin. I appreciate it regardless of the issues I been getting. It's still a fantastic experience once it "settles in" on the Shield 1 but just shy from perfect on it.

I think maybe the windows 10 superlite I use helps a lot. I really think everyone that uses windows 10 should only use the superlite gaming edition. I do have all my media connected directly to my PC's, and all trailers are local. All my drives connected to the PC local.

I use Tiny Media Manager to create nfo's for bulk of media library, it doesn't like split files (these are scraped within Kodi)

I use the mod purely as a front-end to my media server and have created two profiles (Titan Bingie Mod and Estuary). I have 3 options on main menu - Movies, TV-Shows, Music and it works 99% of time for me, though it is missing simple functionality that is found in Estuary.
Kodi is setup as portable on the latest SanDisk Extreme Go 128gb flashdrives, all shares (are located on 18 x 10tb drives - HGST (Western Digital Ultrastar) 10TB 7200 SATA3 6Gb/s 256MB Cache, each with media folders) are home-networked on a Windows Server (2019) and I am using Win 10 devices to access.

Hi @Timmyrocks26,
Can you please explain how you manually installed the problematic dependencies?
I'm trying to install Titan BINGIE MOD on Kodi 19.1 running on Chromecast with Google TV, but I'm seeing the "xbmc.python 2.24.0 dependency could not be satisfied" error message.

Did you upgrade from Kodi 18 to Kodi 19?

Good day @AchillesPunks

Will there be any major new updates? like you can change hubs to poster or landscape independently of each other, so one poster the other landscape and another in banner or something, that is only possible via widgets in the home screen. would be great if that could be done.

Would love to hear and see from you.
Thanks for all the beautiful things there is already

There is going to be a huge update soon.

You can already change widgets on the home to different layouts. You can have one poster one landscape or whatever. You search through the post on how to do this.

Yes, I know that, but how can I continue with movies and series that have a hub?

You can not and there will not be a update for that. That would take a lot of work.

Sure you can do something about it.. it might not a fully functional widget but it will do your puposes.
  1. Install the Super Favourites Addon By installing first the jmoore repo ---> link is here
  2. Configure it by adding a new folder which you can name whatever you like e.g "My Media"
  3. Now add all the media ( Movie  / TV Show  /Rick & Morty / whatever ) to this folder from within kodi by using the context button and add to superfavourites dialog
  4. In the skin settings & widgets  add a new widget and Link it to this "MyMedia"folder that you have poulated
  5. Voila : all mixed media wdiget ... but it will not be pretty like native with icons & bells & whistles....but at least you will have it on your home screen ! Wink
