As @AchillesPunks said of course he wasn't abandoned. It's still early for kodi nexus. When it enters the stable version, then we will think about it. The menu icons have been fixed and in the next update they will be able to be changed without any problems. And that's just one little thing that comes with the next update... I can't promise anything yet when exactly it will come out, because there is still work to be done with the skin and I have a lot of my work and not enough time. But believe me, it's worth waiting a little longer.
