I noticed that Kodi hides files when they have been played. In video files menu.

What is the reasoning behind this feature? The only reason I think of is that if you watch a movie once, it is enough. There is no need to watch it again.

Is it possible to turn this off? Show all video files, always?

Pull out the sideblade and change from "Watched" to "All Videos". See #7 https://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_controls#Sideblade_Menu
