this should now be fixed with 0.1.8

Done. How did you get 4K on Hulu? Can you use the same method for Disney Plus?

I think the update changed something I'm getting error playback and IP geo-blocking without a proxy or any VPN. What happened?

ive told you you need to edit your posts instead of multiple posts

4k is different per providers and what they allow. So no to disney.
no changes have been made to playback
ive tested that content your tying to play (bobs burgers s01e10) and plays fine for me.

@matthuiman

Would it be possible to add genre subcategories for both TV and movies? Without it a lot of content is impossible to find through the addon (genres are there on the app).

Quick question. Hulu is starting to enforce 2FA authorization. Will this addon work with 2FA accounts?

For 2fa, you'd probably just need to use the device code login option as that lets the website take care of the actual login.

Having problems with Live TV freezing for all channels, they usually starts playing but then freeze within a few minutes. Here's a log with an example:

2021-11-21 13:03:38.076 T:7872    DEBUG <general>: AddOnLog: inputstream.adaptive: Begin WaitForSegment stream VIDEO_2_8800000

Any luck getting HDR to work?

is there any users of this addon with a Hulu + Live TV subscription that can lend me a login temporarily?
Or, are able to test latest Kodi 20 nightly and confirm that subs now work on the Live TV channels?

How about it? It looks like Live TV's built-in subtitles work.

I know you write plugins that support "SMART URL ACTIONS", that's cool.
But I find that Hulu can't do that, I know Hulu only works in the US (and Japan), but it also seems to have multiple CDNs. for some reason I want to be fixed to a certain CDN.
The reason Hulu fails I think is because manifest-dp.hulustream.com states the CDN within the parameters.
For example

Code:
https://manifest-dp.hulustream.com/dash/*.mpd?device=188&version=17&user_id=*&region=US&language=en&is_noah=0&breakhash=*&cdn=va&ad_cdn=da.......
It looks like cdn=va controls the name of the next requested video url, if you force the domain name to be rewritten...which seems to cause errors, 403, etc.
Is there any way to rewrite the cdn=va within the request?

Thank you very much.

Update
https://github.com/matthuisman/slyguy.ad...pi.py#L372
Realize the specified CDN by modifying multiple_cdns to True (manually switch video streams in OSD).

It would be best if multiple_cdns could be switched within the plugin and CDNs (Akamai, Fastly, Lumen) could be specified.

Although Hulu hasn't brought HDR support to Android TV so far.
But I found that the average bit rate of HDR bitrate seems to be significantly lower than SDR.(almost double, for example 8Mbps Vs 15Mbps), and of course the peak bitrate of HDR is less than 1Mbps higher than SDR.
Can this be considered that SDR picture quality is superior to HDR?

Is it maybe h264 vs h265?
