Not sure when it started but most likely it was already an issue in Kodi 18.
Now I am on Kodi 19.3 and the issue is still happening from time to time.
What happens is that when I put my tv, soundbar and shield Tv in sleep mode while Kodi is open and all has woke up some time later, I frequently having issues playing video content.
When this happens I only hear audio and the video is in the background playing and is not visible.
I think this is caused by the Kodi screensaver. I use Picture slideshow screensaver and I have tried the Dim screensaver. When it happens with the Dim screensaver I see the video playing but still dimmed and the loading icon in the middle of the screen. This does not go away automatically.
With Picture slideshow screensaver I see the last image frozen on my screen or the episode screen from where I started the episode.
I have this issue for quite some time now and I hope it can be fixed because the only way to have the video playing normal again is by restarting Kodi.
