Hi forum.

I asked about this years ago, but wondered what the state of play was now. Is Retroplayer now a default part of Kodi, so their RPMs would include it? Or are there compile time switches to enable it?

I can see there are a few retro player related packages, which would seem to be a big help? Is this all it needs?

Yes, RetroPlayer was merged into Kodi 18 and is enabled by default. To play, you'll need some cores, and as you can see the repos only have a couple. I've heard it's because cores fail to build often, so you might have to compile from source. But once you get the cores RetroPlayer should work out of the box.

Work on RetroPlayer slowed a few years ago when I got a full time job, but I still do work here and there. Recently, I created a port manager that lets you configure which controllers (including multitaps) are connected: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3070362
