Is it possible to play Dolby Atmos on home theater via the Xbox? I have installed and set up the Dolby Atmos app and this works with the demos they provide.

There appears to be no passthough option in the Xbox version of Kodi although you can enable passthough in the settings as the video plays but that just crashes Kodi.

Passthrough audio is not support wthin the 19.3 build currently available from the Microsoft Store, however passthrough audio has now been added since the release of v19.3 so will be in v19.4 when it happens. The passthrough audio support has been shown to allow both TrueHD and DTS-Hd so this should allow object audio such as Atmos to be passed out, although I'm not sure if that was specifically tested.

If you are adventurous and know how to use Dev Mode to sideload then it can be tested with the builds here http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/windows/uwp64/Matrix/ however as these are dev builds then a full suite of addons may not be included, so shouldn't be tried inless you really know what you are doing.
