Solved Kodi Flatpak crashes after about 15 sec of being opened.
#1
Fresh Kodi flatpak install, no errors.   Kodi appears to launch fine, runs and looks like it should, and about 15s or so in it just crashes.  Doesn't matter if I touch it or just let it sit there.  Uninstalled/reinstalled, same error.   Launched from the terminal, here is the message.

$ flatpak run tv.kodi.Kodi

The only errors I noticed in the crash log were the ones at the end about argus tv.... which I don't have.. I'm trying to just run this on my PC to stream from a network share.

Linux, Solus Plasma (clean install), just downloaded the flatpak in the last hour so I assume it's current.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx (8) @ 2.300GHz
GPU: AMD ATI 04:00.0 Picasso

I tested on my laptop, also Solus Plasma, also AMD/AMDGPU (Picasso as well).  It had been working previously, and now it crashes the same way.

I have also installed Flatseal for fun, and gave Kodi literally access to everything as a test and it made 0 difference.

Quite an unknown Linux OS to me at least. Also, we very much prefer a full debug log (wiki) via a pastebin service, and not a log snippet pasted into the forum directly. Note the bold red text above the Post Reply button. Solving puzzles with pieces missing is not our biggest hobby.

I'll get that going in the AM.  Thanks for letting me know.

strange. Did you have pvr.argustv installed or configured previously? Can you try to (temporarily) start with a clean user data dir?

No this is a clean first time flatpak install on a clean linux install.  I'm not even 100% sure what that is?

How do I start with a clean user data directory?   You want me to just delete everything in ~/.var/app/tv.kodi.Kodi ?

Deleted everything in that directory.  Same thing, Kodi will launch and stay open for about 15s or so then CTD.  New log below.

I have no idea what's going on. We might be able to get a stack trace if you could install those flatpaks:
org.freedesktop.Sdk//21.08
tv.kodi.Kodi.Debug

and try to run kodi like this:
flatpak run --devel tv.kodi.kodi

Get this when trying to run as debug:

$ flatpak run --devel tv.kodi.kodi
error: app/tv.kodi.kodi/x86_64/master not installed

It was a case error I think.  Got this to run.  Terminal output below, log at bottom.
