How to automate extraction of m3u8 URL for use with Kodi?
#1
I am using Kodi to view streaming news shows by using strm files in my video files store on Kodi (OSMC on Raspberry Pi4).
I got help here recently on how to format the strm files so they work with Kodi.

This works fine as long as the m3u8 URL does not change, but on a couple of websites this happens quite often.
On pages that do not change the m3u8 URL it is quite simple using Firefox to just open the webpage containing the video player and then hit F12 to get to an inspect view where the Network tab will show a lot of actions and the m3u8 item is there too.
Right click it and select Copy/CopyURL and the m3u8 is extracted and can be used inside the strm file.
But this is no good on sites where the m3u8 changes from time to time.

Since my strm files are autogenerated by scripting on the host Linux machine I have tried to figure out a way to script the extraction of these m3u8 URL's, but failed.

So if there is anyone here capable of doing this I would be grateful for instruction on how to script the extraction on Ubuntu Linux where my video store is hosted.
This is an example of a webpage I want to extract the m3u8 URL from:
