Hello guys,

I can login to the forum with two of my three computers, but not the third. Name or password problem. Tryed to make a second account, but same problem.

I cleared the cookies and the cache but without success.

Sorry if I don't post in the right topic.

Edit : I can connect with Chrome, but not with Firefox.

Moved to Website and Forum Issues or Suggestions sub-forum.

Is the third PC behind a different IP or something like that? Could be that it is using an IP address that we have banned in the past or something.

Thanks for the answer @Dangelus.

It's the same public IP address, but necessarily a different local IP address (all are fixed).

I just found out that I can connect with Chrome 100.0.4896.60, but not with Firefox 99.0.1.

I've dabbled a bit in Firefox and MediaWiki help, but without success.

I disabled my ad blockers and checked that I hadn't added any particular script.

I also asked for a password reset 12 hours ago, but no answer yet.

Weird. I've used Firefox (on Linux mostly, and Windows only sometimes) for some 14 years now, but I can't remember having login issues with this forum.
If this was a generic problem, plenty of more people would have complained. Any firewall settings that are acting up in Firefox for you?

I checked my Windows Defender,  it seems to be ok.

I connected to other sites like GitHub, Quora, Reddit with no problem.

Indeed, I never had login problems that can't be solve with a password reset.

I try to do one again.

Edit : I did it 15 minutes ago, but no email in return.

I have three identical versions of Firefox with all the same settings and plugins and OS, and only one doesn't work and only on this forum. Didn't check the fourth on my second laptop.

Can you try in private/incognito/porno mode on the problem browser?

That should make sure that all addons/plugins are disabled, and that there's nothing else getting in the way.

Also perhaps try a wifi hotspot from your phone using 4G/5G and see if you get the same problem there (with the problem computer/browser connected via that of course), to eliminate anything in the network or network profile/settings.

Thanks @DarrenHill

Unfortunately, there is no progress with the private mode.

And connecting my towers on 4G is not possible, because they don't have a wifi card, as I prefer RJ45 cabling.

perhaps your cookie database or something else in your firefox profile got corrupted...
you can try these steps to test if you can login with a fresh profile:
- enter http://about:profiles in your address bar
- select 'Create a New Profile'
- select 'Launch profile in new browser'
Do not PM or e-mail Team-Kodi members directly asking for support.
Always read the Forum rules, Kodi online-manual, FAQ, Help and Search the forum before posting.

Thanks a lot @ronie, it will not be necessary to create a new profile.

I just tried it again a few minutes ago after clearing the cookies and cache for the fourth time, and it worked, I was able to log in. I didn't do anything else.

Don't ask me why it didn't work before, another computer mystery.

Anyway, thanks so much to all for the precious help, the subject can be noted as solved.
